Should I be scared?
I don't know what to think about the AI landscape. Large-language models and generative art speak to the ingenuity of the human mind. However, the idea that most content on the web is generated rather than original is troubling.
It could be said that all content is "generated". Unoriginal. Derivative. All human thought and creativity has been trained into us by the environment around us from infancy to adulthood. A defeatist attitude would agree this sentiment.
I truely believe there is real creativity and original thougth in this world. That a loving creator gave us, His creations, free thought and willing minds to be creative and populate the world with creative material.
The dawn of actually intelligent Artificial Intelligence doesn't mean that creativity goes away, but it does mean the spaces where creativity has been displayed for the past several decades are diminishing. Where will real art and creative passion projects be hung for the world to see?
